Basically, he says all of this is above the NCAA's pay grade. These are crimes, and the NCAA is either clueless or powerless to take action. They did against Penn State, and it came back to hurt them. Ole Miss is in real trouble because their allegations of payment to players is easily definable in the NCAA manual.

Even with the Dave Bliss murder cover-up scandal, the NCAA's punishment came from Bliss paying two players who could remain as walk-ons and get them above the scholarship limit, and not anything to do with the crime.

Baylor will absolutely skate. Staples says that doesn't make it right, but it's just the way it is.
