I’ve seen that or something similar posted about 100x since Saturday night, and I’m not sure where it’s coming from.
Maybe not having a 6’6, 275 pound EDGE like Tyree Wilson or Myles Cole for the first time in years is throwing people off?
Definitely got shorter at CB losing 6’3 Rayshad Williams and 6’4 Malik Dunlap but by the end of the season both were losing snaps to Bralyn Lux anyways.

Average front 4: 6’3, 284
Average front 4 in Independence Bowl (Esters, Ledet, Bradford, Adedire): 6’2, 283
LB Jacob Rodriguez - 6’1, 230
LB Ben Roberts - 6’3, 230
Average linebackers: 6’2, 230
Average linebackers in Independence Bowl: 6’2, 232.5 (J-Rod dropped 5 lbs)
STAR AJ McCarty - 6’0, 190
CB Jalon Peoples - 5’11, 195
S Chapman Lewis - 6’1, 180
S CJ Baskerville - 6’3, 210
CB Maurion Horn - 5’11, 180
Average secondary: 6’0.5, 191 lbs
Average secondary in Independence Bowl (Rabbit, Lux, Owens, Dunlap, Baskerville): 6’1, 203
Lost an average of 12 pounds in the secondary but stayed essentially the same elsewhere. Long story short get mad at the performance, but the Saturday night failure has very little to do with “how small” the defense is/was.
