Arizona was the key game from day one.

Since the schedule came out, the first 6 games were all seen as a preliminary test. But this final game of the 6 was circled from day one. Could we really position ourselves to compete for a spot in the Big 12 title game? Indeed, panic reigned after our first 2, yet here we are, coming off our most impressive performance, right where we wanted to be at 2-0.

Now we'll face a ranked bipolar Wildcat team coming off their big upset at #10 Utah, following their equally terrible effort vs KSU the prior week. TT has the opportunity to support McGuire's claim that everything goes thru Lubbock.

Forget ACU and screw WSU. Damn Vegas and their odds makers and our prior road debacles. Saturday night I'll be in Lake Placid, the site of the miracle on ice, watching the game. We can do this. I don't want to look at 5 pages of stats and opinions. It wasn't pretty, but this team has put itself in position to stake a claim in the revamped Big 12. Drink some red Kool Aid. Skin a wildcat and greet the bears with a sea of red at the Jones. Then watch the red wave flow down to Ft Worth the following week. Don't give me any negative vibes, just give me another glass of that red crap.

Here's a quick story off the postgame with Joey. Fun one tonight, really was. Tech is off to a great start, and I'm having fun watching it.

Democrats teaching their kids to hate

"Democrat-leaning kids were approximately 9 times more likely (or 800% more likely) to express negative emotions (nervous/worried or angry/frustrated) about Donald Trump than Republican-leaning kids were likely to express about Kamala Harris," the study explained.

Wow. 9 times more likely to hate someone they don’t know because of BS they hear spouted by their parents and the MSM. What do you expect from the party that taught people to hate black Americans long ago.

Hats off to the AD staff

My boss is a big Cincy booster and was on the chartered plane with their AD for the game. Jonathan Botros led them on a tour of both Womble’s, the USA, and all the parts of the Jones. My boss said they were all blown away at the hospitality of Botros, especially considering it was a game day, and of course the facilities. Way to show off the university we all love!

Why Was There A 10 Second Run Off?

Why did that 10 second run off occur? I looked through the game thread again, maybe I missed the reason.

Their QB slides and gets tackled.
Official throws a flag.
Official goes to replay.
Official determines there is no penalty.
Official runs 10 second off the clock.

Nobody called timeout. Both teams had timeouts.

I don't get it. I see calls overturned by replay all the time with no clock run off, in fact that's what happens 99% of the time.

So clearly some rule was broken, but the ball didn't get moved and the down didn't change back. Also nobody complained about the run off, so clearly I'm the only person on Earth who doesn't understand it.
