I've watched more women's softball the last 2 weeks than I have in all previous years combined.
A couple of observations:
1) These chicks are not afraid to dive for a ball. Props for that. However, they also will dive for balls that they have zero chance at getting. Is this over-hustle just performative, or are they that bad at judging the play?
2) The word "Rise-ball" is said no less than 40 times per broadcast. It triggers me for some reason. Perhaps I don't notice it, but I don't think "fastball" is uttered anywhere nearly that much during an MLB game.
