The Broadway Shuffle Podcast - Episode #14

I stumbled upon this podcast that featured CJ Baskerville as the guest and I found it to be well worth the listen. CJ gave some interesting behind the scenes insights including-- the tests players are given and some insights on selected true freshmen. CJ goes overboard on his praise of Will Hammond and how he is not your standard freshman college QB. He said there is no concern if Morton were to go down with Hammond in the wings. Pretty clear who our #2 QB is.

Two Docs Beer is Coming To DFW!!!

Boys we need your help. We are finally making our way to DFW and we want to know where it is you want the product!!!

We are self distributing, which is a big task, and need to use our Red Raider connections to get the product in the biggest stores you frequent.

Our first drops were yesterday at some great Red Raider owned businesses, Eighter in Decatur and Liquor Box In Graham. But we need the best accounts in FW and North Dallas. Obviously we are going to try and get the Spec’s, HEB’s and Market Streets covered, but please let us know on this thread if you can help us out with medium/large accounts that will take big drops of beer for our Red Raider faithful to be able to buy. As you know, the more Raiderland Red Pale Ale we sell, the more it gives back to our NIL. But we will also drop all our others like Buddy Hoppy, Hayes-E-Baby, Lubbock Light, Bock etc.

We are trying to boot strap this as a small business and need your help! If you have any connections please let me know. Share your thoughts and suggestions!

Big CFB weekend picks thread

Usually, I’m horrible at picks. But 2 weeks ago I went 5-0, last week I went 13-1, all ATS or o/u. So I’m felling myself this week. Probably a huge mistake, but YOLO.

Here’s my picks for the weekend. Feel free to jump on, fade me, or add your own.

Army -15
Army is undefeated, 6-0 ATS, and hosts ECU, who gave up 311 yards rushing to Charlotte last weekend.

Cincinnati -6.5
I shoulda waited, but tbh, I like UC over AZ St at any spread. ASU starts Jeff Sims at qb, who was an INT machine at Nebraska.

TTU -6
Tech is a better team. Period.

Colorado +3
Arizona is saaawwwft.

Texas -4
I hate ‘em, but they’re a complete football team.

BYU -9
Mormons are 6-0 ATS. Okie Lite is starting a freshman QB. In Provo. At night.

Illinois +3.5
Home game vs defending champs, wearing Red Grange-era throwbacks.

Indiana -6.5
Hoosiers 5-1 ATS, big noon game at home, gonna be lit.

Navy/Charlotte O56
Navy averaging ~47 ppg at home, Charlotte averaging 18ppg on the road. Midshipmen might hit that number by themselves.

Dentist recs in Allen/Frisco/Plano area

Any Red Raider recommendations for dentists out there? We’re in Allen off Alma/Exchange so anything side of a 20-30 minute drive is in play.

New guy bought the practice we’ve been at and happy with but prices seems to have gone up.

Wife needs a crown and 2 fillings replaced and the bill is 2800 bucks. Maybe that’s what it costs but seems steep. Anything outside of a routine teeth cleaning seems to be a mortgage price at this place.

Gameday Charters for DFW .... Now Boarding!

Matador Express Gameday Charters is now a reality. Thank you to all who have helped and been supportive of this new venture.

I put the idea out there last summer and the response of DFW Red Raiders was strong enough to make it happen. I've been working closely with the Collin County Alumni Chapter and we'll start in Frisco, with plans to add more departure locations in DFW as the season goes on.
  • First trip is out of Frisco for Arizona State (9/21)
  • Family Weekend vs Cincinnati is also available to book now - leaving Frisco as well. We will add a bus for Tarrant County residents (departing NRH area) if interest is high enough.
  • For the Baylor - Colorado - WVU games, we are taking RSVPs right now to gauge interest. Hoping to fill seats on the buses and in the Jones as the season goes on.
We all know game times are tricky - and we won't set schedules until kickoffs are announced. Those 11am kicks won't be much fun at boarding time, but Red Raiders aren't afraid of a little Red Eye travel.

We'll try and create Tailgating on Wheels - in the safest & most respectful way possible. Your Express Pass includes drink tickets, snack items, and other cool swag. You can bring small coolers with your own drinks and food too. Travel pillows, tablets, and other small personal items are allowed. We are going to have some fun and make this a true Red Raider experience - with surprises happening along the way and when we arrive at Tech. There will be crew on each bus to assist and help spread Tech spirit during the ride. Seeking beverage - snack - and swag bag sponsors ... please reach out if interested!
  • Express Pass is $165 roundtrip (RRS Members use RRS15 for $15 off each ticket). No need for over-priced hotel rooms, save your gas & car mileage, be back home for your full Sunday, meet some new friends, and enjoy being chauffeured to & from the South Plains.
Please help spread the word around DFW - join our FB and IG pages. We all know how important fan engagement & participation is in today's crazy college football world - our largest alumni base now has a new way to get to & from games. GUNS UP!
