The only certainties in life seem to be death, taxes and Texas Tech WR screens. Someone had posted a tweet referencing I believe 17 WR screens last week against WSU.. Based on Kittley's comments this week I would think that we will continue to see plenty of screen plays much to my chagrin. Here's your opportunity to chime in on how often we go to well with WR screens.

My wife and my son and his wife and boys just met Robert at the stadium to celebrate my grandson’s birthday. He was so gracious and gave us a tour of the field a facility. Something they won’t forget. Your the best Robert!

I don't have many stories to share but I do have one about Eric Morris. Back in 2008 I worked as a door guy at Crickets. I thought life would be like Road House and it would be cool and fun and exciting but it was mostly babysitting drunk people and cleaning up puke. 0/10 would not recommend.

Anyway, one night I'm working one of the areas and in walks Brandon Carter, Louis Vasquez and Eric Morris. By the looks of it they had probably just got done at Chimys and walked across the street to Crickets to keep the night going.

Brandon and Louis were very cool, very chill but Emo was not. Emo was looking to start stuff, getting chippy with a few people and finally someone responds and they are ready to fight right there in Crickets. Before I could step in and do anything, Louis Vasquez comes over, yells "NOPE NOT DOING THIS" and picks Emo up by the back of his shirt like a cat and calmly walks out of Crickets.

Outside of the kid who tried to karate chop me because I cut him off, funniest thing I ever saw during my time there.

For all the recruiting gurus, what’s the story on this kid? Is Tech in the mix. I believe he leads the state in passing yards. All classifications.

Must be nice to have competitive games and punch above your weight.

MUST. BE. NICE.

I was fully on board with the recruiting strategy. Find freak athletes that you can turn into football players and be able to punch above your weight class.

However, with the on field product. The lack of game awareness, the penalties, the lack of football plays being made I think it’s clear we need to focus on recruiting football players.

We have a lot of talent on the field but they can’t play football cohesively and that’s highlighted by our stat line that if you showed it to someone would probably guess we won not got smoked by 21.

Went to a local place in Abilene this morning for coffee and breakfast wearing my Tech shirt. Guy in front of me turns around and asks me, "if ACU would have won would you still be wearing that shirt today"? I chat it up a bit with him and then go sit down to get on my laptop to then notice Coach Patterson (ACU) is at the table next to me. I know, cool story bro

Four married guys go fishing. After an hour, the following conversation took place...

Second guy, "That's nothing; I had to promise my wife that I will build her a new deck for the pool."
Third guy, "Man, you both have it easy!
I had to promise my wife that I will remodel the kitchen for her."
They continue to fish when they realized that the fourth guy has not said a word!
So they asked him. "You haven't said anything about what you had to do to be able to come fishing this weekend.
What's the deal"
Fourth guy, "I just set my alarm for 5:30 am. When it went off, I shut off my alarm, gave the wife a nudge and said,
"Fishing or sex," and she said, wear sun-block

I cant remember what enrollment was in 2003 when I graduated, but 41k is pretty dang big.
