We’re back!!!

We’re back.
Washington State way better than we thought. Top 5 fo real.
ACU the mf’ing bomb.
UNT 2-0 and we smashed them.
B12 title here we come.

Really though I wonder how differently WSU would have played out if Brooks was healthy. It’s apparent Morton can’t handle all the pressure on his own.

Even though it was UNT felt the offense had some flow tonight.

Fantasy Advice (WR4/flex for today)

Who would you select for this position out of the following:

Keenan Allen: Bears play tonight and he is questionable

DeAndre Hopkins: feels risky until he’s full-go (plus his QB is ass)

Christian Watson: QB is ass with Love hurt.

Brandin Cooks: thinking this may be the best risk management pick, but I hate how Dak focuses on Lamb over everyone else.

What are the fantasy football experts thoughts, plain and simple.

IMO.

So Wazzou?

Are they better than any of us expected? After beating a team that was in last year’s CFP Championship, I feel like maybe they aren’t too shabby, and that loss doesn’t look as bad in my eyes. Not to say I want us losing like that ever, but it makes me think this team still has a lot in front of them if they actually learned from that L against a team that might actually be decent.

STORY: CJ Baskerville: Win over North Texas "has some swagger back in our program"

Fun conversation with the safeties after the win. Must see this kind of performance carry over into next week, ASU will be no joke.

Something that feels illegal, but isnt....

What are some things that you do, that feel illegal, but arent?

I have a 4 month old that shits her diaper like 5 times a day. It runs in her genes/jeans, I guess. #IBS

Her diaper pail, I am fairly certain that medical research teams could use the smell of that thing to kill certain forms of cancer. It will singe your nose hairs, forreal.

Anyway, we have an apartment complex about half a mile outside the neighborhood. I load the diaper pail trash bags up in the truck and take them over to one of the 57 assorted dumpsters located on the apartment property. I feel like I am doing someting illegal since I dont live htere and just dump my trash. I do the same thing with boxes and other monstrosity packages my wife gets with all the shit she buys online. I got followed by one of the lease office folks the other day, on the golf cart, until I got to the entrance and bolted off. Felt like I was on Grand Theft Auto and had 4 stars.

What do yall do that isnt illegal, but feels like it is?

One last post about the offense today.

Well done ZK!

Some people think I have an axe to grind about Kittley, but I just want our offense (and football team) to be successful. If our offense performs like this consistently I hope he stays a long time.

Appropriate use of the run, play action, middle of the field, drags across zones, multi-back sets… we were clicking on all cylinders.

I sincerely hope we see a repeat performance next week.

Games Sept 14

Actually Friday 13th for Jaybirds losing Friday to UNLV 20-23 - so much for the media faves to be the surprise Big 12 rep in the playoffs. Jaylon Daniels with no TD passes and 2 INTs.

KSU beats Arizona on Friday to lead Big 12 1-0 at home. KSU QB1 leads the game in rushing with 110 yds + 156 passing and 2 TDs. Arizona's AA receiver had 138 yards receiving but that's all AZ had going for them.

Cincinnati beat somebody in Ohio today.

Tech rolls big.

Arizona State needs a turnover to win 23-20 over TX ST on Thursday.

Okla State crushes Tulsa 45-10

Get off the wagon and on the bandwagon.

I know, it's UNT. But we did exactly what we needed to do and then some. The defensive starters stepped up against a top offense in the country. The offense dropped 50 in the first half. Morton looked great and made a few longer throws with ease and precision. Tajh is an absolute stud. WR's looked the part as usual and Hudson got some attention.

If you're feeling like things are looking up for Tech football or you're just in the mood to celebrate, get back on the bandwagon by getting OFF the wagon. Get youself a membership or 2 for the RRS Barrel Club. Get one for your dad, brother, best friend or boss. Share the link with anyone you think might be interested in a collectible whiskey with a custom label or just a solid bottle of booze that benefits Tech. Proceeds benefit The Matador Club and we're looking to raise about $25,000. We're sitting closer to $10,000 right now. Bottles available beginning October 18.

Fill out the membership form and donate $115 per membership (bottle) on Venmo or PayPal. You need to do both because you don't get a bottle without the donation and we can't contact you for pickup without the info from the form.

89 Year Old Performing at Alumni Band Day

Each year, the Goin’ Band Alumni Association hosts Alumni Band Day. Today was the game for the 2024 season, and although I wasn’t able to attend, I wanted to share this.

An 89 year old Tech Band twirler performing at halftime on the 70th anniversary of her graduation from Tech.
