Brennan let this team get complacent again. I said it many times. Run the ball.

49 Drop backs was unnecessary, but if you are going to do it, then at least be efficient.

30 Runs with Conley averaging basically 7 yards per run. I have no idea why they went away from it.

79 Total Plays vs 57? for Texas Tech... Completely outcoached. I'd venture to say Pathetic.

Fifita was garbage tonight.

Plenty of blame can be given from the ball security angle to the lack of urgency.

However Brennan didn't get this team up for the game and they played down to the competition big time.

All momentum the program had is gone again.

Now we have to go play @BYU with no head of steam and no team identity at all.

T-Mac isn't doing Noah any favors lately. The chemistry is definitely off. I expected some ups and downs this year, but I didn't expect to give games away like this. We squandered big time. I think we may have to run the table to have a Puncher's chance to make the Championship Game and CFP now.

Our schedule is no longer favorable when you look like ass vs a team like Texas Tech. Sure, they are 4-1, but they are not the 2000 Ravens on defense like we made them look like. Too many FG or FGA's, not enough imagination to score Touchdowns. That's on the coaching. 100%.

However, once again, when you hit rock bottom, the only place you can go is...

ONWARD AND UP

Entertainment in the stands

Since the third quarter sucked so much, I got easily distracted and enjoyed a bit of entertainment from watching some dude create drama in section 17.

I was in section 18 but right on the end next to 17. There was some buttwipe in a grey shirt who looked like a drunken, slightly overweight Sean Astin from the movie Rudy. He was being pretty loud and obnoxious in favor of AZ, but so what? So he and some dudes in Tech gear were yelling at each other but it seemed pretty good hearted and non-confrontational to me. He and one of the Tech gear guys were trading hits off a vape pen, and again, so what. But then, and I don’t know where it was wafting from, came the distinct odor of the dreaded polio weed. Maybe from them, maybe not, I don’t know, didn’t care.

But then Fat Rudy starts trading barbs with a Tech fan a few rows behind me who pretty damned drunk. And it gets a touch heated. But then security shows up and started questioning Fat Rudy. This goes on for a while, and it looks sort of like they’re telling him to tone it down but who knows? Security leaves but then a few minutes later 3-4 of Pima County’s finest show up and start questioning Fat Rudy again. During the “discussion” he pulls the vape out of his pockets and the coppers are inspecting it and then they march him out of the stands. But then, ten minutes later, he’s back and buddying up with the drunk ass Tech fan behind me. Towards the end of the game, Fat Rudy is back in 18 quite vividly shaking the hand of a senior aged Tech fan. After the T-Mac fumble he gave all Tech fans a friendly one finger wave bye-bye.

Anyone on here who was closer to the action maybe know what was going on?

The Power of Positive Thinking ***UPDATED 9.13.2024***

***UPDATE***
There is ABSOLUTELY NOT A BETTER FAN BASE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL THAN THAT OF RRS!!!

One week of the least amount of negative vibe that I have seen since being a member. Hat's off to you folks.

Hey Joey and Team...this board has gone over and above in support, they've done their job. Now go do yours

__________________________________________________

As Red Raiders fans, and RRS has to be some of the most passionate, there’s just not a lot you can do to affect the current frustrating season. But, I would challenge us all to try one thing…exercise the Power of Positive Thinking. “How”…let’s test it. If it has an affect…great! If it doesn’t…hey we’re doing everything we can to help!
So here’s the challenge. Beginning at midnight tonight NO negative threads or comments about Coaches, Players, or Athletic Administration.
We all know things are not what we “want”. This is a way we possible start to understand “how” we get what we want.
Try it for a week…let’s see if there is a difference against UNT.
I don’t mean win…I mean win like we know how to win.

Drive at end of 1st Half

Behren was rattled. Tahj dumped it twice. Arizona defense is that good. The drive for a FG at the end of the first half (where NO ONE would have blamed Joey for sitting on it and going to the locker room) won the game. Ballzy, aggressive, whatever - kudos to Kitley. He is performing miracles. So is Clay Mcguire. Oline is held together by string. The combinations of starting lineups of guys swapping around should leave us at 1-5, or 2-4 at best. The culture of this group is fun to watch. Pure grit and toughness won this. A defense left for dead - found a way. Lead by a high school QB, shoutout to the former Rider Raiders, Rodriguez was gut awful vs ACU - and looked like an all-american last night/morning. We need to appreciate what has been done, and what is being done by this coaching staff.

Wreck Em!

The next 3 weeks

We have got to get healthy and we have got to use this time to tighten some stuff up!

I can’t believe we are 3-0 in conference after the first 2 games of the year but this team is obviously fully bought in!

We can’t become complacent though and have to dominate these lesser Baylor and TCU teams!

We could be 5-0 headed into Ames, that’s wild!

Unlv at ku

Ku up 14-6. 4 mins left in 2nd.

Ku OC out thinking himself with a screen play that almost led to a pick 6. That's with Neal averaging over 7 yds a carry. Now they're reviewing a possible fumble on a completed pass. I understand as an OC you have to change calls up periodically but geez.

Ten drives ending in Tech territory...

-6 turned into field goal attempts (5/6)
-2 interceptions
-1 Turnover on Downs
-1 Touchdown

Tim DeRuyter has put together a strong redzone defense for two seasons now and it seems a youthful group is figuring it out in 2024. Hopefully this can continue, it's been the staple of the DeRuyter defense through two seasons, let's make it three.

5-1 (3-0) in the first week of October

In 22’ it took Tech until Nov 12th to get to a 5th win and, until Nov 19th get gain bowl eligibility.

In 23’ same scenario. Tech wins game 5 on Nov 11th and gains bowl eligibility on Nov 18th.

In 24’ Tech secures its 5th win on October 5th and are in a position to secure its 6th win and bowl eligibility in October.

So many fans get overly emotional about stats and want to fire everybody from week to week. If the AD was like this fan base we’d be on our 15th coach this season.

Mcguire’s teams have historically been lights out in November and get better as the season progresses, in two weeks you get Baylor at home with a chance to really take a driver seat in the Big 12.

This season could be very, very special.

This Coaching staff doesn’t develop players?

My god, people with that opinion can’t be more wrong. We have extremely young players flying around everywhere and you can easily flip on tape from week 1 and 2 and this team looks like it has completely different players. It’s a bit mind boggling how these guys have started to settle in.

Let’s Fking Go!!!!!
