Yes our defense was bad , but it was improving. Texas Tech improved on last year by three wins. Now we find out that two coaches knew before the beginning of the year that they were gone with no hope of proving themselves. Probably the same for Coach Haverty. All this on the heels of beating Texas in Austin. Talk about deflating and robbing most of the fan base of the joy and momentum going forward. It is evident Kliff has a real problem identifying defensive coaching talent. First, Wallerstadt and now three former Red Raiders. I guess Kliff had no clue they were bad coaches which raises a big question mark about his ability to head up our program. Evidently the much traveled Coach Gibbs just cannot work with three good coaches. I am really starting to wonder if Coach Gibbs is our head coach now. I just have a hard time believing Coach Kingsbury agreed to this. In the end, treating people in general (not just friends) this way has a way to come back to bite us. Just as I was thinking we were on the way to battling TCU /Baylor toe to toe soon we quickly take three steps back. Well, now players have to get used to three new coaches so throw out the defensive consistency we all had hoped for when Gibbs signed on to be our DC. This is Typical Tech at its best! Incredible!!!!!
