I haven’t watched a Mavs game since sometime last year, if that. Regular season NBA has gradually over the years morphed into some sort of competition without much intensity. My Mavs fandom goes all the way back to their inception. Brad Davis, Ro, Aguirre. We could buy $4 tickets for the upper end zone at Reunion. In the second half, move down a sit anywhere you wanted to. They were horrible but hustled like crazy. Cheap entertainment.
This bunch here tho. Scrappy as can be. And this Luka dude, wow. 19? He runs the point quite a bit. He’s really really prescient for a young guy. And he’s not a scrawny teenager. They did give up 70 in the first half. Half. 70. Oooof. Fun to watch them and consider his future. Much like Mahomes. It’s not fun to watch Dirk move down the court. Run isn’t exactly the right word. Makes my knees hurt seeing him. Anyhoo, carry on.
