Arrived for spring break with the family. About 30 minutes after unloading the power goes out. Sit in the cold and dark for a few hours before being told the problem won’t be resolved anytime soon as the wiring to the house is fried and buried under several feet of dirt and snow.
Found a place for tonight but had planned to be here for 8 days. The property manager sent me other listings, but all are inferior and not something we’d ever book.
Anyone dealt with anything similar? While I found it on VRBO it’s managed by a local company.
Already prepaid for ski rentals, kids lessons, etc. which totaled much more than my rental.
Hoping they surprise me with better options tomorrow, but not feeling good about it.
