Tech hosted a few unofficial visitors this past weekend and we were able to speak briefly with a couple of the visitors. LaMarcus Morton, Grant Polley, Jared Hocker, Devodrick Johnson and Quincy Addison were all scheduled to visit this weekend--along with Tech commits Jack Anderson and Dawson Deaton. Unfortunately, Morton was not able to make the trip. Reviews have been positive from the visits so far and Addison actually pulled the trigger and committed yesterday while in Lubbock

Denton (TX) offensive lineman Grant Polley was offered by the Red Raiders a few weeks ago and quickly scheduled a visit out to Lubbock. Polley was committed to Kansas at the time of the offer but has since de-committed from the Jayhawks. Polley really enjoyed the visit out to Lubbock, but one of the bigger moments for the recruit was getting to talk with Coach Lee Hays about the prospects of joining up with Hocker, Anderson, and Deaton.
“We were talking about how if Jared and I were going to go there and how good the offensive line would be if we went there. We talked about our positions with Jared and I at tackle and Dawson and Jack at the guard spots. We could be one of the best o-lines in the country which is an awesome thought.”
Polley already held the Red Raiders in high esteem, but with a visit out to Lubbock under hid belt, the Red Raiders seemed to have jumped up even more on Polley's list.
“They are definitely a lot higher on my list now that I’ve taken a visit up there. Definitely top five. I need to take some more visits and evaluate some more schools, but I really enjoyed my visit to Lubbock.”
Since the Tech offer, Polley has been offered by California, Arizona State, Michigan, North Carolina, and UCF. He holds 19 offers.
