Kliff Kingsbury was the only person made available to the media today, so here are a few notes and quotes from him.

Injuries

Junior corner back Paul Banks will be out for the remainder of the season with a neck injury, Kingsbury estimated he'll be back for the start of spring ball.

Junior offensive lineman Baylen Brown has been taking reps this week. He's expected to be ready to go Saturday morning.

Kingsbury spoke on West Virginia's similar path this season, and the things that will pose a threat come Saturday in Morgantown. He also spoke on the differences between last year's mountaineer offense and this year's.

"No question. (Its a) very similar situation to the schedule we faced. They've played good four teams that are very good and they've lost to those four, but they're a good team and they know they're a good team so its going to be a heck of a challenge" said Kingsbury. " He's really good at adapting his personnel. I think they have some young talented receivers, but I think he feels like their offensive line, their running backs are their strong points so he's playing towards that. He has a good defense so I think a combination of those things are causing him to run the ball more."

At this point, both Texas Tech and West Virginia are looking to salvage the season, and try to win out the rest of the way. Kingsbury spoke on what's necessary to get that done.

"Like I said, both teams before those four games felt very good about themselves as a team and know that we're both good, you just played very good teams and didn't get it done. I think now it is who can refocus and rebound the best."
