Man, what a fun film to watch. Tech's most complete operation of the season on senior day. Jump into some thoughts.
-Kittley's offense has WVU in a blender: Kittley schemed this one up. Tech made a living by just taking access throws and making life really difficult on WVU's safeties and nickel. Lot of RPO stuff, and it was a big part of Tech being able to run it. WVU was trying to take away Tahj Brooks early, and got RPOed, then they adjusted, and Tech was able to run it with spread runs. Just hilarious man, nothing WVU could do before drinking a whole bunch of "I quit" at the half. Perfect example of what I'm talking about. First one, good eyes from WVU #12 (Safety) getting the ball down on the hitch, then running himself out of the play on Tahj's lengthy touchdown run.
-J'Koby Williams is special: Just a ton to like from the freshman running back. His acceleration is so special. He hits the hole so quickly, and Tech did a nice job to get him into space. I am super excited about him moving forward. Just a different gear compared to others on the roster.
-Clean Day from Morton & the pick: Thought that Morton played a pretty solid game. Was not asked to do a ton in the dropback game because of the RPO game. When he was, he was solid. Had a nice anticipation throw to a hinge on the far side. Did some nice things out of structure. The pick was a shame, but I'm putting some blame on the OL, since there was pressure that affected the throw, which was a good read. More zip gets the ball on the seam v. Cover 3, he had to float it.
-Really nice day from Josh Kelly: Pretty clear to anyone with eyes, but Tech was getting Kelly the ball a ton. Did it with access throws and RPOs. Really strong day for him and a large part of it was the scheme. Called it in the scout, so I'll take that one.
-Big day for walk-on arrival Terrell Tilmon: Tilmon had a really nice day here. Was good as a third down rusher and he had his best game in the biggest sample of snaps he's taken all year. Impressive day for him.
Here's the charting. 999 regular season offensive plays, all charted by yours truly. One more for a bowl.
