I mentioned some alumni nervousness regarding Beard’s future at Tech. He didn’t hesitate to comment, “Chris Beard isn’t going anywhere”. To which I replied, “What about UT”?

Quoting his response...”UT is where Beard went to school. Tech and West Texas are his home”.
