Work's been really slow for a while and I was told a few days ago I'm among job cuts being made in early June. I was starting to look for other opportunities anyway, because it wasn't a surprise to me that we haven't had much to do (despite asking around and helping outside my normal responsibilities), so I'm not all that broken up about it, but it's led me to this question:
What do you do in the two weeks before you leave a job (voluntarily or otherwise), when the reason you're leaving is because you have nothing to do?
I was told I don't need to be in the office if I don't want to be, but that I can come in if I do want to. I'm still coming in right now because it's a good atmosphere and there's no resentment or anything -- plus I'm on PTO tomorrow and Friday anyway. Should I just stay home most days for the next week-and-a-half focusing on job-hunting? Take half-days to make an appearance and get what 15-odd minutes of work I may have completed?
