I am not trying to insult anyone. I am just trying to understand the rational behind wanting Kirby gone.

This is my opinion and if you don’t bring any substance to the table don’t be a troll.
If you just say because football sucks that you don’t Know what an AD does.

Heres my opinion. Lets discuss-
I dont get why people dont understand how valuable of an asset Kirby is to Texas Tech and The Texas Tech Sports program as a whole. Baseball, basketball , Golf, Track, have all been ranked and gone further than they ever. Just because football is terrible? How is that Kirbys fault? Everybody wanted Kliff, he got Kliff. He took a gamble on Wells and it didnt pan out. Look at UT or ATM they have been recycling coach's and been mediocre at best. Hell UT sports as Whole is mediocre. It was only 10 years ago they dominate in every sport. You want to blame someone, blame the people who got rid of Leach.

And you can speculate about Beards contract and say it doesnt matter, but the realty is Beard thinks that highly of Kirby that he put it in his contract. How often does that happen? Ya if KIrby gets fired hes not going to tear up the contract and leave. But it may be the deciding factor if a blue blood does come calling.

When Beard needed a practice facility, he got him the Womble, baseball needs new facilities done. Football needs new locker rooms. Done. Thats what a good AD does. He gets shit done. Look at Florida State and Jimbo. He asked for new facilities and they told him to **** off and so he did. That was after winning a Natty.

I’m not even getting into the fact that he was on the playoff committee and other things he is evolved on that benefit Tech.
