Scratch
1) Can we give up on the east/west passing game already? Scrap this play or minimize to once or twice per game.
2) Specialized plays. I understand the need to get playmakers the ball. But Stockton needs to be in the game for more than one play or the D will key up.
3) QB Sneak. Perhaps this also falls under the "specialized plays" category. Saturday was the first successful QB under center sneak that has worked in...I can't recall. Line up in our standard shotgun and give the ball to D-Wash. Shotgun with split-backs. Just don't use the QB sneak that is painfully obvious.
Increase
1) Shovel Pass, Shuttle Pass, Delayed toss, or whatever you want to call it. We aren't running this play enough. This is the most effective play to counter a strong pass rush.
2) Tunnel pass aka wide receiver screen. In lieu of the east/west passing game, get the WRs up field with blocking on a tunnel pass. IMO, we haven't used this play as much as we should have.
3) Delayed handoff. Again, another play we just don't run nearly as often as we should. It is very effective against the pass rush and keeps the LBs on their toes.
What say you?
