Old poor beta, white iphone, no tip at sonic, 4.0 40 timed it in my head, bench 335 x20, fluffy girls ftw, Members Only jacket, don't wipe down the equipment that's your policy not mine, you ain't the boss of me, sit in the shade for games.
I want to buy a smart-ish phone that I can take carrier to carrier.
Currently have a Samsung Galaxy s5. White. Works great, but I'm done with the fatwear on this thing, it's beyond bloatware. I use a dozen, maybe 15 apps on a regular basis and most of them are 3rd party downloads. I want to dump all the nonsense I never use (Peel smart remote, Samsung Heath, Samsung internet browser, etc., ad infinitum, el barfo). If I could move this junk to the SD card, I would.
Open to rooting the phone if that will also give me the ability to wax all this nonsense, but have not looked into that at all. Any thoughts on that are welcome.
I'm on Sprint but just as happy to change carriers, formerly Verizon and always thought Verizon had better technology and signal for my area.
The rub is I'm not spending $400 - $500 - $600 - $700 on a phone. I'm just not. Not happening. I owe $200 on my current phone, but it's beat up and I'd rather put that $200 toward a new phone.
I want to buy a smart-ish phone that I can take carrier to carrier without breaking my poor.
I need texting, calling, camera, gps, sd micro slot, no !#$%!% bloat and I mean none.
Phone needs to be reasonably responsive for the two games I play - Boombeach and Pokemon Go, level 24 no shame.
Apps I use regularly are Fandango, Maps, GasBuddy, TuneIn Radio, eBird, Merlin, Chess, Amazon Shopping, my bank apps, Out of Milk, GeoCaching, c:Geo, Kik becuase I'm a real player, MapMyWalk, Chrome, email, gallery, phone, texting, contacts. None of these stretch out the phone hardware. Maps probably the most demanding as it needs GPS.
Whatever phone I get needs some aftermarket care, like cases. Having a standard, non-proprietary charger is preferred greatly but not a deal breaker.
I'm looking at the Moto e4 and Moto g5 plus. Open to other phones, and that's why I'm here. Any suggestions?
