Early this year someone posted a thread linked to a research project done on CFB teams that could "make the jump" to the CFP in 2015. Lots of statistical analysis based on cleaning up turnovers, penalties, points scored/allowed.
Tech was one of the 5 teams that met this researchers criteria and after applying all of the analysis, this researcher determined that Tech was the team most likely to make the jump into consideration for the College Football Playoff.
