Texas Tech hosted several recruits this weekend during their game against Oklahoma State. Hear what they had to say:

OL commit Troy Bradshaw

"It was the same thing really we did last time expect we didn't have a hostess to give us a tour because this was the fifth visit I've been on. I kind of showed around my brother's girlfriend, she came with us this time. I showed her around the weight room, the helmet room, I showed her the indoor we walked over to see that. Then we went to watch pregame and watched the game."

Thoughts on the game and offense:

"I think the offense could've done better last night. I think the defense played pretty good. Anytime you're going up against a good offense like Oklahoma State, it's not going to be easy. I think it was a good game all around, it was just a tough outcome. We had it at the end, just little things caused us to give it away."

On visiting with Tech coaches and other recruits.

"I talked to coach (Brandon) Jones, coach (Jason) Reed, and coach (Jared) Kaster. Coach Reed and I talked about getting everything set up for me to get my financial aid agreement sent over. We'll probably try to get that done sometime this week. We discussed when we're going to set up my official visit."

"Alan (Bowman), Sterling (Galban), and I said hi to each other, but that was about it. I met most of the guys on commit day."

Favorite part of this visit:

"The game, it was a great game. Especially since it was a roller coaster really. There were some times when I think if Oklahoma State scores here, it's going to be a really tough battle to get back and then the onside kick was huge and the atmosphere was crazy. It was loud whenever Oklahoma State had the ball and when they scored a touchdown, there wasn't a sound. Although when we scored a touchdown, everyone went crazy. It was great."

WR commit Cameron Cantrell

"It was pretty much the same as every visit, but I just got to the facility at around 5:30 and me and my family went and ate. We went down for pregame, we were on the field for a little bit, watched pregame and then went up to the stands to watch the game."

Thoughts on the game and offense:

"I know Keke (Coutee) got hurt so I hope he's back soon. I think Dylan had a pretty good game and (Derrick) Willies had that one play where he extended and we all thought he scored and he was down on the one so that was a nice play just seeing him keeping it alive. (Cameron) Batson played pretty well."

On visiting with Tech coaches and other recruits:

"I got to talk to coach (Emmett) Jones for a little bit. He was pretty much the only coach I talked to, but we didn't talk for very long. We mostly just said hi to each other."

"Before the game I talked to a recruit his name was Larry Brooks and me and him talked for a while. We just chatted about 30 minutes before the game."

Favorite part of the visit:

"Just getting to see them play some bigger competition, a team that was ranked and they played well. We had a chance to win it, but sometimes it happens. You lose some games that you could've won."

WR commit Corey Fulcher

"I looked at the new indoor facility, I was really impressed. Everything's really just coming together and it was a great experience. I actually brought two players from my team at Lake Highlands. They had never been to Tech before so it was great to take both of those guys with me. I had a great time."

On visiting with Tech coaches and other recruits:

"I talked to coach (Emmett) Jones and coach (Kliff) Kingsbury. Coach Kingsbury told me to keep balling out and keep doing what I'm doing. He can't wait for me to come down there and coach Jones just told me to keep working hard."

"I got to talk to Sterling (Galban) he's another receiver commit, we're really close. I can't wait to play with him."

Thoughts on the game:

"Well the offense was amazing and the defense too. A lot of people say that Tech doesn't have a very good defense but I think this year they've showed that they play both sides of the ball and they won't have shootouts every game."

Favorite part of this visit:

"Being able to just go on the field and watching the players warm up, that just got me excited. It gave me goosebumps about what I've got coming in the future the next couple of years that I'm going to be one of them on the field."

DE Hunter Spears (2019)

On the coaches he has spoken with and keeps in contact:

"I was recruited first by Kevin Patrick. But I would have to say coach Gibbs has been the main guy since he left. Coach Jamison has been great though. I really like him and Gibbs a lot."

On being recruited by Tech:

"Both of my parents, and my uncle, went there and my grandparents live there so I go to Lubbock every couple of months, I would say. That definitely has a big influence on my decision with Tech, for sure."

Thoughts on game:

"The defense stood up when they could and it showed how much coach Gibbs is changing the culture on that side. They gave the offense a chance to go score against a good team and they almost had it."

Comments on future of Red Raider football:

"Yeah, I would say keeping the air raid on offense is what people think of, but it would be nice to put Texas Tech up there when it comes to defense – just to become a defensive school too on top of the offense would be great for the future."

LB Tysen Auldridge

"I took a visit with my friend Corey Fulcher. We got there a little early and walked around campus just to kind of get a feel for how it was and then we checked in at the recruiting table and walked into the new indoor facility. We got to watch some of the players warm up and that was really cool to see. We got to go on the field for pregame warm ups and watched that and we got to watch the game from the stands. Of course that was a blast, I wish they got the win but it was fun anyways."

Thoughts on the game and the defense:

"I think the defense has really stepped up from past years. They haven't really had a reputation for being one of the best defenses, but I think they're headed in the right direction. I feel like the linebackers are playing pretty good right now. They had a rough game against a really good offense."

On attending a Tech game for the first time as a recruit:

"I went to last year's game against OU, which was a shootout. That was a lot of fun to watch. It's a whole different perspective when you're up in the stands, you don't really get to see up close and personal things, but it puts motivation in me to work harder and start getting looked at by big schools."

On visiting Texas Tech again:

"Most definitely if they invite me. It's a school of great tradition and I want nothing more than to be a part of something like that."

Favorite part of this visit:

"My favorite part probably was going in to tour the locker room afterwards and just getting to speak with some of the players. I'm a senior so it's kind of cool to see those guys because some are my age. I can see their perspective and what they say how it's like; going through the college part of football so it's cool to get their opinions and see what it was like."

On visiting with Tech coaches:

"I got to chat with coach (Emmett) Jones just a little bit when he was talking to Corey."
