I was dove hunting last weekend so this is the first weekend I could make it out to Lubbock for the game. Great trip.
Stopped at Two Docs on the way into town on Saturday. Oh-Ma had the Lubbock Light and I had a Buddy Holly IPA if I remember correctly. Beer was great and they hosted a street taco food truck there that was incredible. I will be going back on the next trip. One note- upon ordering the beers I ask the nice lady behind the counter if she read the RedRaiderSports.com forums. That drew a very puzzled look so I slid my RRS badge back into my pocket. Maybe the next visit-
So much new stuff in and around campus. I wandered around like I normally do and everything is moved somewhere else. That's on me. I'll read the RRC emails before I go out for OSU to find my standards. We couldn't find the DoubleT973 remote anywhere. When we got back to the hotel last night it appears that that it is in the Alumni Center. Maybe the next visit-
Raider Alley was all I could hope for! You can buy beers there and hang with Red Raiders on the Engineering key. The Green concert appeared to draw them in too. Great job on that area!
West sider here and we got to our seats about 90 minutes before the kick. Lots of folks there and no beer shenanigans in our section (103). I don't remember seeing anyone drinking a beer in our section. Some of the older folks had expressed concern about booze in the stadium but unless some unseedy behavior comes out of it down the road, so far so good. Side note: I love beer but opted out of paying $8 for Budweiser products. Concession lines very short, great service.
When we get this football program really rolling the improvements at the Jones and on the campus are going to be incredible to experience for all of the folks that jumped off the wagon when things weren't so good. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody back on campus. Good job to RobertGio and all of those that put forth tremendous effort to improve our gameday experience.
