We were able to snag Kliff Kingsbury today after practice for a group interview. Here are a few notes.....

*Kingsbury was asked who the special guy/guys were that are playing the role of Trevone Boykin this week in practice for the defense. This is what he had to say about that....

"We don't have one of those guys on the roster unfortunately, but we're getting some guys to run around, and try and extend plays the best we can. said Kingsbury. "It's impossible to simulate what he brings to an offense, but we run similar offenses so we have some quarterbacks that know the concepts, so we can work fast, work tempo and do the best we can."

*TCU is missing lots of depth on the defensive side of the ball at the moment. However, Kingsbury refuses to buy into the hype, despite the unit allowing SMU to record over 500 yards of total offense last weekend.

"They're the number three team in the country for a reason. Coach Patterson is one of the best defensive minds I've ever gone up against. He'll have them well coached, they'll be in the right place so it's on us to execute." Said Kingsbury. "In this day and age with college football running as many plays as people do you're gonna have yards, but they do a good job stopping people when they need to."

*I also spoke with Tevin Madison, who had a great game last week with 11 tackles and an interception. He spoke about some of the things he's seen this week on film from the TCU offense.

"It's just us! I mean, similar offense, very similar. We've been going up against our offense which is exactly like our offense since spring, so we should be prepared for that" said Madison.
