Been experiencing intermittent pain and loss of function of both arms and hands for a while now. Pain starts between my shoulder blades and runs down both arms into my pinkies and ring fingers. Comes on quickly and subsides within 10 mins. MRI showed an issue so was referred to a neurosurgeon. I'm scheduled for a ACDF surgery in August, level 2. C4-5-6. I'm freaking out about it, has anyone had this before? Seems like a good success rate and recovery compared to other surgeries. It's just the idea of cutting into my neck, by my throat, drilling a plate into my spine right next to my spinal cord that has me nervous. Any insights would be appreciated.
