Had a trip planned to San Francisco about a month ago and it got derailed by some airline inconveniences so we ended up stuck (I use the term loosely) in Vegas.
Fast forward to August and I have a 4 day window to try again on our anniversary. Thinking of doing 2 days in Yountville and 2 in SF. Any tips on how to organize it? Should I allocate time differently? Any specific wineries to hit or things to do? We're mostly in it for the food, wine, relaxing and people watching. Not real big on sight seeing or any of that kind of stuff.
I'm thinking we'll do Yountville the first 2 nights. I want to go to Opus one, Stags Leap and French Laundry. Can you walk or get local transportation to most of the wineries? if so I think we may just get a ride from the airport and back to SF and skip the rental car. It'll be a Monday through Friday.
