Texas Tech head coach Matt Wells and the Red Raiders return home this Saturday for a mid-afternoon bout with the Baylor Bears, visiting for the first time since 2008. Also speaking today will be Xavier White and Jaylon Hutchings.

Lots of moving parts heading into the return of the Baylor Bears to Jones AT&T Stadium this Saturday at 3 p.m.
For Baylor, junior linebacker Terrel Bernard is out for the season for shoulder surgery as well as redshirt freshman running back Craig “Sqwirl” Williams is out for the season as well with an ACL and MCL injury. Head coach Dave Aranda announced the injuries on the Big 12 Teleconference Monday morning.
For the Red Raiders, head coach Matt Wells announced they will be making a switch at kicker. Junior Jonathan Garibay will handle kickoffs and field goals this Saturday, Wells announced on this morning’s press conference.
Garibay is a transfer from Riverside City College where helped leads Riverside to an 11-1 record as a sophomore with their only loss in the Southern California Football Association regional championship. He made 9-12 kicks and was 46-50 on PAT’s. Garibay also held offers from Texas State and Utah State.
