Tonight is the NBA Draft! I just got in touch with Zhaire Smith to ask him a few questions:
What is going through your mind this morning with the NBA Draft coming up tonight?
"Right now, I'm excited and very anxious for the draft. I'm going to be really nervous as the time comes."
I know your family will be there tonight to support you. I also know Coach Beard is going to be there -- what does that mean to you have his support?
"It means a lot to have that support. All of my family supported me since I was playing middle school ball. Coach Beard has supported me since I was at Tech and he always believed I was a pro!"
What are you most looking forward to after getting selected by a team tonight?
"Looking forward to eating dinner, hanging out, and just soaking it all in. I might not be able to sleep tonight."
Congratulations on the Puma shoe deal! What's it like being among that group of athletes and also Jay-Z?"
"Thank you! It's crazy to be with Jay-Z -- I grew up listening to his music and now I'm signed with his company. It's just a blessing to be where I'm at."
