So I was a little sports exhausted yesterday so in the 1 in 200 chance that an upset might happen I taped the ACU - Texas game in order to watch it this morning. And yeah, I'm a little giddy right now since unless it involves our beloved Red Raiders I'm always for David over Goliath.
This is something I talk about ALL the time, particularly after one of those HEARTBREAKING regular season losses we endured.....yeah, this sucks but let us win a game like this WHEN IT ACTUALLY MATTERS....the regular season doesn't matter much at all in the big picture as long as you can in the Dance and THEN do some damage.
Another thing I've seen hundreds of times....you can be the hottest GD team in America, winning 8 in a row and then winning your (98% meaningless) conference tournament and once the ball is thrown up in the air in the NCAAs it doesn't mean shit (except maybe upping your seed 1 or 2 places).
Kinda doubt we'll hear Texas bragging much about their faux Big XII conference championship.....late last night will be the 1st, 5th and 72nd thing Texas fans think about when they think about the 2020-21 campaign.
