So, I live in Austin, and rarely listen to the local sports radio station for examples I'm about to tell you, and for whatever reason this morning I thought to myself, "Alright, let's hear something local. Got Big 12 Media Days going on etc, should be something interesting this morning.. etc."
Maybe 5 minutes into listening, the guy on the radio starts talking about how Charlie Strong was on ESPN and how the reason why is because of the "Texas Brand". Talking about how for the last 5 years they have been "Texas Tech", but you don't see Kliff on TV do you? Texas has a much superior brand yada, yada, yada.
It just pisses me off. I'm tired of being thought of as our team being a bottom feeder. WE ALL ARE! And it's extra frustrating because we have an awesome fan base who cares about our team, our facilities are some of the best, and we have awesome uniforms. (Haha)
But seriously though! I'm sick of it. I hope this team takes the lack of respect that we are getting this preseason and plays with a chip on their shoulder. I want a Bart Scott type of attitude every game. (watch the video below, his speech is how I hope our team feels).
WE WANT TO WIN! LET'S DO IT! WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WIN THIS YEAR!!!!!
All of this is how we all feel I'm sure, but I just wanted to vent a little bit. I have so much passion for Texas Tech Football, and I hope our guys and staff are motivated to shut the critics the F**K UP!
