On April 4, Mega-Millions is raising its prices per play from $2 to $5 per ticket. The optional Megaplier $1 pick will become mandatory. They claim this will raise interest as prize payments will increase---barely. Odds of winning any payout will go from 1-24 to 1-23. Minimum prize goes from $2 to $10. New lottery minimum payout will go from $20 million to $50 million.
