Mr. Manning was a great listen tonight. After a rousing intro from Andy Penney, Peyton took the stage. He immediately informed us of his Papa John's franchise successes in Colorado after recent recreational law changes. Leadership was the focus of his message. He used the ability to influence others and resource utilization as main components to great leaders.
He went through a list of Red Raiders he played with; Ramirez, Gandy, Welker, Vasquez, Ricky Williams, Joey Hawkins. Brought up the Tenn vs. Tech game in 97. Through a pick on first series and wondered briefly why he came back for his Senior year. Taking this fall off to go to a few Vol games and Eli games.
Told his SNL experience doing the United Way skit. Nerf footballs were hollow and director really had to get him to throw the ball hard to sell it. After some "pageant parent" input on wanting their kids hit, he said it became easier.
Surprise guest at our table, Pat Mahomes. He and Peyton got to visit quite bit. Pat will be at the Manning camp this year. Said team was pretty healthy and that the o-line is picking up some steam. Steele is for real and Murphy returning has him pumped.
