Football Student Assistant

Would anyone have any insight on how a young man might get his foot in the door as a student assistant in the football program. This young man is first class. He was accepted into Texas tech and will enroll in the fall. He’s a 2 time all state qb and wants to be around the program in some capacity. I have explained to him he might have to clean toilets for a few years but he just wants to be around it.

Any help would be much appreciated
