Will keep updating the thread as more positions are released. So far only positions that have been posted are Catcher and First Base. I think Kash will definitely make their post season stuff. Just a lot of unknown.

#7 Catcher - Hudson White

D1 Baseball ranks TTU's transfer class at #23.

23. TEXAS TECH

THE HEADLINER: It’s tough to get high praise from Texas Tech head coach Tim Tadlock during fall workouts, but Wofford transfer Nolen Hester is the exception to the rule. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder, was ‘probably our best performing position player’ during fall workouts, per Tadlock. Hester is a versatile offensive contributor who was consistent for the Terriers last season. He finished last season with a .321 average, smacked 11 doubles, knocked in 42 runs, and ended the campaign with 34 walks as opposed to just 24 strikeouts. He should fit in quite nice with Texas Tech’s offensive approach.

CONTRIBUTORS: The Red Raiders have several potential contributors from this year’s transfer class but keep close tabs on Rice transfer and former Texas Tech slugger Drew Woodcox. Woodcox arrived in Lubbock with high acclaim but finished his first season with a .167 average and headed to Rice for a season. There, he hit .202 with just a home run and 12 RBIs. However, Tadlock said the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder, put together a strong fall and showed big-time power potential … Texas transfer Gavin Kash is another talented newcomer to watch. Kash is an athletic 6-foot-3, 210-pounder, who would’ve had a huge role in Austin this spring had he not transferred to Lubbock. He has impressive upside. Oregon State transfer Jake Dukart is another ultra-seasoned transfer the Red Raiders added during the offseason. Dukart is one of those guys you could easily see hitting well over .300 with some power generation in the spring … On the mound, keep an eye on Ole Miss transfer Jack Washburn. Washburn is a hard-throwing righty who has been up to 94-96 mph with his fastball in the past but has also been inconsistent at times. He’s a big-time starting pitcher if everything clicks.
