...so goes W's and L's. Our 3 guards who play the most minutes. Ok, everyone knows that, but here are some numbers for Moretti, Ramsey, and Edwards...conference games only:
Combined:
9 Wins.........FG 53%......3FG 47%
9 Losses......FG 34%......3FG 32%
Moretti.....in Wins...FG 50%...3FG 48%.......in Losses...FG 40%...3FG 30%
Ramsey....in Wins...FG 52%...3FG 45%.......in Losses...FG 33%...3FG 38%
Edwards...in Wins...FG 54%...3FG 48%.......in Losses...FG 30%...3FG 26%
(note: 3FG is included in overall FG%)
Generally speaking... if we have two of those three shoot well, we win. If not, we don't.
Yes, a lot more goes into it than just those three guys hitting or missing, and we could pick and choose some other stats......but well, there you go.
I also looked at TO's, thinking that was the other 'indicator', but there's really not that much of a correlation of our TO margin vs W or L in conference play, not that I could figure out any way.....oddly enough. We were -9 in TO margin in the last BU game though. That was big.
TLDR version...our guards need to make shots.
