Scheduling, particularly in the out-of-conference slates, has been a hot topic of discussion in college football recently. With the way conferences have been forced to operate in who plays who in the era of bigger leagues, building a respectable OOC schedule can make all the difference when the College Football Playoff selection rolls around.

Texas Tech has a fairly lackluster lineup in its non-Big 12 games this season, hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Kent State, with the real kicker being the Oregon State to round out the three-game homestand. With Notre Dame and Clemson being in the news for their new 12-year scheduling agreement, it begged the question: Who could the Red Raiders look to for something similar?
