I have a picture in my study of the huddle of our Team just before playing Gonzaga in the Big Dance.
We went to the finals and came within an "eye-lash" of winning our first MBB NC. Kirby was promoted
for AD of the year. Under his watch, we have a top 10 baseball program, have won a NC in track. Now
with a MFB coach hire that inherited a difficult situation, and given two years to "take the program
to the next level", many on this board not only want the coach fired, but Kirby as well.

I understand winning and the endorphin highs we all get....we will improve in FB, with coach Wells or
the next coach. Everyone on this board was ecstatic with the hiring of Kingsbury....a man who had had
no experience as a HC, but knew the Leach system. He recruited a truly great HS QB, and still was not
successful because he did not understand what it took to run a program. Does Wells know how to run
a successful program? He has NOT had time for anyone to find out. So lets get rid of him and trot
out another candidate....then another! Fortunately our AD will no do that.

A HC must be like a CEO and know how to run a program. Coach Wells may or may not be that. Why not
give him the opportunity to try, rather than calling for his head and the head of Kirby.
