Former defense official Christopher Mellon says the US has recovered technology that 'did not originate on this earth'

  • Mellon made the claim ahead of Congress UFO hearing Wednesday
  • The 65-year-old served as Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence in the Clinton and Bush administrations
  • He expects some 'new information' about UFOs in US airspace will surface at the House Oversight Committee hearing

UPDATE:
For those interested, the Congressional hearing starts this morning at 9:00 CT will be live on YouTube at the link below. While I personally don’t expect this to be about “off world technology”, the Pentagon has acknowledged that UAPs exist and the evidence has been corroborated by first hand accounts of US military personnel. Whether or not this is US or adversarial technology is the question. Should be interesting none the less

Kirby Hocutt tells Brett Yormark level of officiating 'unacceptable'

Not sure if posted already.

"We must demand a much higher level of performance and establish some accountability. I think any football coach would have to agree the missed calls had a significant impact on the outcome of our game vs CU.

"We need to have some in depth and direct conversations as a group after this season is over. Simply, we must be better."

The A-J's open-records request to Tech sought any communications among Tech and Big 12 staff subsequent to the game, specifically including the review of game officials. The Tech office of the general counsel withheld some material, saying it may contain proprietary information belonging to a third party. It has asked Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for an open-records decision.

OT: RRS Cycling Thread

Long shot here, but there was a TdF thread last summer, so maybe there are some more cycling fans out there.

Anyway, Strade Bianche is tomorrow and I'm really psyched! No Pogacar or Van Aert, but still a stacked field, so it should be a good show. Our only shot is Quinn Simmons, who is kind of a douche, but a legitimate badass and could make some noise. He made the final selection the last two years, but crashed out in '21 and just got dropped by Pogacar like everyone last year.

After that, Milano-San Remo is only two weeks out! Also, in before someone complains about cyclists adding tens of seconds to their daily commute!

OT Pokemon Cards, getting started

So my 5 and 6 year old are really into playing Pokemon with the cards. We don’t do iPads so Pokemon pocket is out.

I got them Pokemon battle academy but they’re bored playing the same 3 decks and are ready for a change.

I know nothing about where to start and online is just way overwhelming trying to figure it out. It would just be playing at home and maybe with friends. I asked the local card shop and they weren’t helpful because they asked me what versions they wanted to play.

So thanks in advance for any help on where to get started!

Another great weekend for Red Raiders in the NFL as Rabbit continues his rookie breakout, and guys like Jordyn Brooks and Tyree Wilson continue making plays. And of course Pat is still Pat.

Watch the video in the article about Rabbit. Nice to see him get that kind of recognition.

Good Read On Upcoming Changes & Developments in College Sports

Good read for anyone wanting to understand the current status on some of the changes ahead with college sports as well as a number of other possible developments being talked about as well. Texas Tech even had one mention:

"Tennessee is far from the only school thinking differently about revenue. Utah, Texas Tech and UCLA are among a handful of departments that have hired senior staffers designed to key in specifically on driving new revenue."
