Cavill out

Despite the announcement in October, Henry Cavill will not return as Superman. That's a bummer. I enjoyed him in that role.

Prayers In This Thread Please

My wife has been in the Pharma industry for 20 years and recently lost her job as her company went belly up, and her last day was Nov 15. Not the first time she’s been let go in this industry but it’s tough.

We knew this was coming so she’s been interviewing a lot recently. One company that she loves has an opening and she’s interviewed with HR, the Hiring Manager, and that Managers counterpart.

Final interview tomorrow at 1:00 with Hiring Manger and a VP, and we are hopeful for an offer. Sure would make Christmas a lot easier.

We could use the RRS prayer Warriors for things to go well for the Toughest, Hardest working, Most Competitive Pharma Rep in the Country. We will find a way through one way or another, as I know HIS plan is all that matters.

Thanks and I sure do love you guys, even though I only know a few of you. This place is like my family.

UPDATE: Rayshad Williams retuning to Texas Tech, per coach DeRuyter

Coach DeRuyter just told the media that Rayshad Williams has indicated he will be returning.

Another note, DeRuyter said he didn’t know about Reggie leaving until last week. Kobee Minor sounds to be transferring because of playing time as well. They’ll look to possibly add an edge rusher and DB from the portal but he is happy with what they’re bringing in with this signing class.

Matt Rhule and Nebraska

I’m not sure how credible this guy is… But apparently there is some flight tracking going on that has a Nebraska donor’s plane making the round trip this morning out to Charlotte.

A bunch of randoms on twitter saying it could be wrapped up this week. Figured those guys are people like us who read it behind a paywall and blast it out for everyone to see.

TOS: No. 1 PG in the nation, Eliot Cadeau, updates recruitment.

As far as his recruitment goes, Cadeau says he talks to Syracuse, Tennessee, and Texas Tech the most. He says he would like to visit each program whether the coaches prefer to have him on campus for an official or unofficial visit. He discussed the three programs with 247Sports:

Syracuse: "Red Autry is the coach I talk to the most. I like the school in general. Their playstyle and their fan support of the basketball program sticks out to me."

Tennessee: "I hear from Rod Clark. They are a really good school for guards. Their coaches make sure that their guards are playing the right way while having freedom. I talk to Zekai Zeigler a lot and he loves it over there."

Texas Tech: "All of the coaches recruit me. I have spoken to all of them but I have not spoken to Mark Adams yet. I like their fans and the coaching their players receive there."

Currently sitting as the top point guard in the country according to the industry, there have been rumors that Cadeau may class up and make his collegiate decision as a member of the rising senior class.

@C. Champlin / @B. Golan - is it weird at all that Mark Adams hasn’t even talked to this kid yet? Would seem like a full court press. This kid grew up wanting to be a red raider…

RECRUITING: Projecting two flips in favor of Texas Tech

What’s up, everybody!

As you may well know by now, Texas Tech hosted ULL commit Justin Horne and Texas commit Dylan Spencer on official visits this weekend. I’m continuing to hear strong things in Horne coming out of the weekend, and the same has started to buzz with Spencer.

I’m officially projecting that both will end up in Texas Tech’s 2023 class.

UPDATE: Mark Adams quick takeaways plus his words on the rumors last week on Fardaws

Coach just spoke to the media. Heading to football here in about an hour so posting quick takeaways.

- For clarification, Fardaws was never in the portal. Adams said Fardaws is happy to be a Red Raider and is ready to get back onto the court. He is still in a boot and will be for probably a few more weeks.

- Adams emphasized rumors and speculations around Fardaws were inaccurate.

- Coach said Batcho is getting close. They’re hoping he plays Wednesday and practices Tuesday with them but he’s shooting around despite not working out with the team. He can adjust with little practice and adapt with his IQ and physicality. Having him back before Christmas will be good to prep for TCU.

- As far as the game goes against Houston Christian aka Houston Baptist, Adams said they shoot consistently from the outside perimeter and will respect and emphasize getting hands up on those three point shots. He said they’ll take it one game at a time but defense needs to continue to get more consistent over these next two before Big 12 play.
