UPDATE: Good news, bad news

First, the good.

I expect Tech to land a priority target out of the transfer portal at 2 PM today.

The bad news…

It’ll be publicly announced shortly but sounds like DT Philip Blidi will be entering the transfer portal. With both Hutchings and Bradford returning, that was kind of his path to significant snaps and so I can’t really blame Blidi for looking for a place he can get those.

With this news I wouldn’t be surprised if the coaches looked to the portal to try and get another DL body in here.

When I was a freshmen I tried to walk-on for football, I did not make the team. Down the road my sister is working at Outback Steakhouse and Coach leach comes in and she sits him at a table. Introduces herself and says she is a big fan and that her big brother tried out for the team. He asks, “well did he make it?” she says No and he starts laughing 🤣🤣🤣. Then says, “sounds like he isn’t very good then!” 🤣🤣🤣

I was at Tech from 2000-2004. My love for Tech football began with Coach Leach. I owe so much of my love for TTU to him.

While I was at Tech, my brother was at A&M. I’ll never forget beating the Aggies and Leach said, “Sometimes a pirate can beat a soldier.”

FYI.. Cam Manahan (DB from Lubbock Coronado) attended the OU game and was probably a candidate for a preferred walkon has decided to attend University of Central Oklahoma. Interesting he included JM in his tweet.

Tech / UT Hoops Tickets

06 Tech Grad
The pre-sale is going on right now for Tech / UT hoops tickets on 2/13. I don't know if Beard will be there, but I just locked up two lower level seats in section 110. This might be Valentines Date for my wife and I.

This also means that I won't be needing my upper-level general admission tickets for this game. Shoot me a text at 817-995-1913 if you are interested in them.
