Sounds like Rhule and Patterson have both been vetted by Nebraska.

I am not trying to go out of my way to go to this game. I have new sod going in at the house and an electrical contractor hanging a chandelier among other things... but if anyone has a single to sell I'd like to not pay my left nut to go to the game.

I’m flying back out to DFW for a wedding this weekend, and I’m hearing there’s a tornado watch. I’ve been telling TCU people that it’s just Tech’s offense getting warmed up for tomorrow. I really hope this doesn’t backfire.

Omaha (Nebraska) Westside receiver Jaylen Lloyd, one of the fastest recruits in the country, tells me he will be visiting for the Tech/BU game this weekend.

An interesting note is he says this won’t be his OV, so he is paying his own way down to Lubbock. Look for his official visit to possibly come in December leading up to signing day. He has Tech offers for both track and football.

Thursday at 3 p.m. for the decider.

My prediction: Morton makes a statement on Saturday. I think Joey has this team ready to bounce back and seize the opportunity this weekend.

We’ll jump on them early and hold on to win. Morton has 4 td’s and 400 yards.

Edit: AND it’s now November, which is Sonny Dykes’ nightmare.

The above lists yards per route run.

Anything over 2 yards is good. Really good. Ezukanma and Myles Price were both over 2.3 last year. Antoine Wesley was over 2.5 his last two years. Keke Coutee was over 3.

The inside guys lead the way.

Cupp also has really good numbers for a TE. Tharp has about 2x as many routes run than Cupp, though.

Collectively, these are not very good numbers for our WR room.

TCU has 3 different WRs above 2.4 yards per route run.

We need some of these WRs to step up. If not, we need to go find some WRs in the portal this summer.

Tech will likely post the hype video any minute but on the coaches show McGuire just confirmed they are going throwback black helmet, white jersey and red pants. Expect it to look like these.
