HOOPS: Oak Hill Academy PG Christian Anderson Jr. talks Texas Tech decision, why he fell in love with Lubbock

Here's my conversation with the young guard and his dad on the decision...

How good can the offense be this year?

I think pretty damn good in fact unless Kittley ****s it up.

My confidence level in that numbskull is pretty low and I have the posts with @B. Golan to prove it. 🤣 Up to this point he may be the most over hyped coach ever (if that's even a thing for an assistant coach).

Anyways, I hope he's been hitting the books hard in the off season and understands clearly that the best player he has is Brooks and that he will feed him the ball constantly because that's the type of back Brooks is. He needs touches throughout the game.

The fact that ZK completely misidentified Brooks last season was unconscionable and is the major contributing fact as to why I still feel he's out of his element as a D1 assistant coach. (Along with that whole 50 burger nonsense.)

Be that as it may, he can redeem himself this season by utilizing Brooks to his fullest as well as all of the other resources that McGuire has provided him in the off season.

I'm not going to wish ZK luck because we are beyond luck. He needs to show us competence and capability.

(I know, I know, he had no quarterback last year because of injuries and stuff. But as some on her have pointed out, ZK may have had a role in that too.)

Edit: QB development seems to be lacking and has been another critique of ZK.

Jacob Rodriguez got 42% of the vote and won by 20+ points over Ben Roberts in the last poll. He avoids a run-off but didn't quite hit the 50+% marker for a tier break.

Running List:
Tier 1
1) Tahj Brooks - RB - Super Senior

Tier 2
2) Josh Kelly - WR - Super Senior
3) Jacob Rodriguez - LB - RS Junior

I'm adding a 2nd offensive lineman to the polling, so both Rogers and Sciury will be there. It will be interesting to see where all of those votes for Rodriguez go, I'd bet on Roberts but we have some offensive star power that might entice people as well.

If you vote OTHER, post who your vote is for so I can get the candidate list as good as possible.

Parents upset after Keller ISD trustees brought an Evangelist film crew into schools and filmed students

Two school board trustees involved issued apologies after Evangelische Omroep (EO), a Netherlands-based Evangelical broadcast television network, filmed students.

KELLER, Texas — As they stood together near Keller ISD’s Central High School on Friday, a group of parents shared their anger and frustration.

“I’m livid,” said Laney Hawes, a parent whose child attends Central HS. “Our rights and our kids rights have been violated.”

Their anger stems from what the district confirmed happened last Friday, February 9.

Sandi Walker, a school board trustee brought an Evangelical-based film crew into the high school to conduct interviews with her. Multiple students and parents told WFAA children were filmed and interviewed by the production crew without their consent. Trustee Micah Young was also involved in the filming.

Evangelische Omroep (EO), a Netherlands-based Evangelical broadcast television network previously produced the documentary: ‘God, Jesus, Trump.’

Texas Tech Vet School

I am trying to help my housekeepers daughter get into post grad education. She is going to call me when she is ready to start applying but what is the best way to get her connected with the school? They are american citizens who came over from El Salvador and her brother is the first to graduate college from A&M and she has the opportunity to be the first to get a post graduate education. Great grades, great character and would like to help her out.

📺 Interview With 2023 All-American Macy Blackburn of Texas Tech Soccer

Currently 4th all-time at Texas Tech in assists and one of the most dynamic players in the country we had a chance to sit down with 2023 All-American Macy Blackburn from Tech Soccer. OT; Hyperthyroidism

Had a checkup with the doc about some sleep issues for the past few weeks. I'm going to get my bloodwork taken tomorrow to confirm but wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with it.

I'm 35, in pretty good shape and try to stay as active as possible. In November I went 3 days not being able to sleep. Night sweats, etc. They prescribed some low dose anxiety stuff.

I get super on edge for no good reason. Sweat in cold rooms, etc. It was just so annoying.

I've tried melatonin. I've tried Unisom. Magnesium. You name it. But the bouts only come on at acute times every few months or so. I'm hoping the blood draw gives the answer as it sounds pretty easy to treat.

Creation Museum and Ark Encounter

Absolutely incredible experience.

The botanical gardens at the CM are some of, if not the best I’ve ever been in. Immaculately planned and maintained. Personal favorite was a talk on the geography of Jerusalem…my wife is finally considering a visit.

The Ark is massive, and the entire facility is almost like a theme park in scale.

I’d highly recommend doing the Creation Museum first, then the Ark Encounter. Plan to spend a full day at each, and I could easily see another day or half day at each if you really want to do everything.

While you’re in the area, hit up Cincinnati. Very underrated city. Some great examples of Art Deco architecture.

We will be back when the kids are older to get a more mature experience.
