STORY: The biggest key for Texas Tech’s tight ends this season is…

I’d argue it’s being versatile. I take it from the conversation with Cochran that their ability as run blockers has improved but you definitely need to see it in a game first.

You know what you’re getting from Conyers and Miller as receiving threats. With how heavily involved the TE has been in run game the last two seasons, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Heading to D.C., Baltimore, and Philly

Heading to D.C., Baltimore, and Philly for a very quick long weekend vacation of Astros baseball and sight seeing.

Going to do the D.C. tourist deal on Saturday then head to Baltimore Sunday afternoon (the Astros play Baltimore that night). Any recommendations for Baltimore around the Camden Yards, or just around downtown that we could catch a late lunch before heading over to he park?

Driving to Philly after the game to catch the Astros playing the Phillies on Monday night. Then back to D.C. Tuesday to fly out. Going to be a bit hectic.

Pat (not Patrick) Mahomes

Ran into Pat (the dad) today at the bank. Not sure if y'all know but he has been sober for over 6 months. now. He looks really good, alot thinner and healthy. Talked a bit about Patrick, noted that he hated that, as he called it, 'stupid' behind the back pass. haha! Much more engaging now that he is sober.

I know, cool story..................

WAY OT: M&A Question re Circle K owner bidding for 7-Eleven owner

Hoping someone on here who is much smarter than me explain how the US could (and would) get involved in this. With about 12,500 7-Eleven owned stores and 6,000 Circle K stores in the US, there will have to be divesture, but since it is Canadian company buying a Japanese company how does that work with the US govt?

Moving to Colorado

Thinking about relocating to the mountains and cooler weather one of these days. Some factors into our decision:

1. Not worried about commute, as would most likely be 100% remote.
2. Want to be close enough to COS and DIA so that we have options when traveling.
3. Okay with some winter weather but not interested in being snowed in for days or weeks on end.
4. No kids in school.

We have narrowed our search to around the Colorado Springs area and were there this weekend to check it out. We haven’t talked to a realtor yet, but just poked around on our own. Think we want to be North of Colorado Springs and have zeroed in on Monument.

Any of you CO locals have thoughts or suggestions?
