Here’s some stuff that we have heard today from the grapevine that we can’t quite confirm ourselves:
… Patrick Toney is headed to run Billy Napier’s defense at Florida. We heard he was getting a deal worth close to $2 million.
… Texas A&M is not pursuing Ohio State transfer QB Quinn Ewers.
… Oklahoma is eyeing Dave Aranda for its vacant head coaching position. That bit of scuttlebutt hit us during the Big 12 title game. SoonerScoop is reporting now that OU met with Aranda after the game.
… Matt Wells and Jeff Lebby are in the mix for the vacant Colorado State job.

... The Texas Tech football program is hosting a number of visitors this weekend and all indications are that Joey McGuire is wanting to focus on these recruits over the next day and a half before beginning to finalize more staff hires.
... McGuire has not offered the offensive coordinator position to any candidate and, for all we know, he may not be done with interviews. That being said, our best educated guess is that Western Kentucky offensive coordinator Zach Kittley will be running the Red Raiders' offense in 2022. Nothing that we have heard over the last several days would suggest otherwise.
... You will probably start seeing stuff out there in the wider media that strongly links Kittley to Texas Tech.
... We have been asked a bunch about Riley Dodge in the aftermath of yesterday's Quinn Ewers news, with folks wondering if there's a possibility that Dodge could join McGuire's staff in some capacity. We have not heard anything credible about that kind of move happening.
