Wrote about Andrew Carr earlier today, and we can now confirm the Wake Forest transfer will be at Texas Tech this weekend for an official visit.

Here's what I wrote this morning...

"Wake Forest forward Andrew Carr announced his plans to enter the NBA Draft and the NCAA Transfer Portal in mid-April. Should he withdraw from the NBA Draft, Texas Tech is one of the programs in the mix to land him.

The other main competition at the moment is Kentucky and Villanova. Carr is from West Chester, PA, so that could give the hometown Wildcats an edge should he want to play his final season of college basketball close to home.

Carr started his career at Delaware of the Colonial Athletic Association, playing two seasons before transferring to the ACC and Wake Forest for the last two years. Carr played during the 2020/21 season which makes him eligible for a bonus Covid year.

This past season at Wake Forest the lengthy Carr posted 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game on 52.6% shooting from the field. Another strength of Carr's is his 3-point shooting, making a career 34.4% of his 3-point attempts including 37.1% last season on 97 attempts (36/97)."
