With the trade deadline looming, all the talk is about us dealing him to get some prospects since we likely won't sign him next year anyway.

What are your thoughts?

I've heard Houston tossed out there and would be happy about getting some of their top farm league guys to weaken their future but would be absolutely pissed if he went to them long term.

He is one of the best Ranger pitchers to ever wear the jersey and I can't help but want to keep him, but if there is zero chance of resigning him next year this is the right move.

Can we deal him to a miserable city to where he wants to come home to where life is comfortable?

Is a Dirk type move completely out of the picture or is it all about the money? I mean what is the difference between 25 and 30 million when Texas doesn't have a state income tax while say New York and Cali does.

Outside of Darvish and Hamels our bullpen is trash. The rest of our team is pretty decent if we could get a solid 4 rotation going along with some solid relief but that's a lot of if's and I am not sure that I am ready for a rebuild quite yet even though our world series appearance is already 5 years in the past.

I'll hang up and listen. :smoking:
