Would you take this bet regarding TCU

I just had a TCU friend offer me two bets.

1. 1k that TCU goes undefeated in regular season
2. 5-1 odds with 1k minimum bet that TCU is playing in the National Championship game. Of course he gets the 5-1 odds since I get all the other teams.

I know it could happen but is this way to obvious? Would you take both bets?
