with Texas Tech? My story is nothing great, but I'd love to hear some of your experiences. I was lucky to get a scholarship for track to a D-2 school (ETSU, now Texas A&M- Commerce), so Tech really wasn't an option out of HS with my family's financial situation at the time.
Fast forward two years and I was visiting Tech in November '95 and I remember vividly sitting in the west side parking lot next to the stadium. It was a cool night and I remember looking at that grayish color with the old "TEXAS TECH" lit up in bright red. It wasn't anything fancy, but just felt like home and it hit me. At that moment, my decision was made and I started my love affair with our school. I soon transferred to Tech, met my wife there, got a great education, and have all three of my kids decked out in nothing but Tech gear. It can be a rocky relationship with all of the ups and downs athletically, but I wouldn't trade the experience and privilege of going to Tech for anything! Merry Christmas!
