So our final four experience started with a text at 8:06pm on Friday night that our 6am flight was canceled:eek:. After some quick troubleshooting and amazing hospitality we were able to hitch a ride with @PrevostRaider. What a fun ride with @Wr3ck3m @JORaider6508 @Nighthawk713 @LondonRedRaider and several others including Zach Smith. Really cool to talk with him about what it’s like to play under Beard. I do want to point out he made the comment that the Florida game sticks out in his mind from a fan perspective. Said that was the most amazing environment he had every played in, so good job Red Raider nation. Some really great people and Red Raiders to roadtrip with even when the turbo exhaust blows a clamp at 4 in the morning.

Once we got to Minneapolis we took a Lyft over to the Airbnb which was in a rough part of St. Paul where I think we had maybe 16-18 people staying at one point. Got to meet @Malcolm1990 and @texaskstar.

Man the MSU game was incredible and the final four just an amazing experience. Was sitting with @throwlikecrazy and @RaiderRedTTU. Even talked several into dropping what they were doing and drive up for national championship by the end of the night.

Next day consisted of nursing a hangover, heading to meet @TTUHoopsFans at fanfest and then going to Surlys Brewery. What a cool place. Got to hangout with some good people. @TylerHolloway @Cahillguy @throwlikecrazy @WreckEmTT @Hsitory1 @ttukevin
@Junar45 @Nighthawk713 and more I’m blanking on. From there we piled in a car and went to a place called Shamrocks Bar and Grill for our Juicy Lucy experience. We took over that place, drank hotty toddy’s and @WreckEmTT (aka Lobsterman) even caught a lobster in the claw game/water tank they had.

NC day consisted on starting with meeting up with @RaiderSmoke and @ttukevin at Radisson Blue, then lunch at Red Rabbit before heading to the RRC event at Target Field. Was that not the coolest pregame ever? From there back to the same seats to watch the NC that was filled with so many high, lows and everything else between. When the streamers came down I felt dead inside, but man what a game.

Either way, what a hell of an experience. Obviously, would’ve loved to see the good guys win, but man that was a weekend of a lifetime that I will never forget. This basketball program brings us all together and gives us memories of a lifetime. One of the coolest things about this trip is I think every single person ran into people they hadn’t seen in years. Chris Beard brings us all together. Can’t wait to do it again in Atlanta.

So what is your story from the Final four/NC trip?

PS: Make sure to donate whatever you are comfortable with to the 4:1 Endowment. Efforts like this is what will keep TTU basketball at the top. Every donation counts, no matter the amount.
