Wanted to do a quick overview of some guys the Tech staff is after and where things stand.

Flax is currently on his official visit to Kentucky. He's already visited Texas Tech, Arizona and Auburn and it seems likely his decision will be made from that group. Despite reports last week of Auburn leading, we're told he still has not made any final decisions and that Tech still has a chance here. It would be an upset if they're able to pull it off but we will see.

Woods is a grad transfer safety from Michigan who visited Lubbock back for the TCU game in mid-November. He is a top want and need and at this point he's down to Tech and Duke who he visited last weekend.

Carde is a JUCO who would be a 4 for 3 player. He's currently on his official visit to Tech this weekend. He is originally from Florida and has interest in playing for schools back home as well but as of now no other offers. Out of high school he had offers from FAU, Bowling Green and Southern Miss among others.

Diesch is a grad transfer from Texas A&M who visited Tech earlier this week. He's reportedly down to Arizona State and Tech and a decision shouldn't be too far off. Out of high school he was a high 4-star and ranked as a top 70 player in the country.

Merriweather visited Tech last week, and is closing in on a decision. He is currently on an official at Oklahoma State. We believe his decision will come down to those two programs and Tech sits in a good spot as of now. Expect a decision early this week.

Randle committed to Tech last week and the initial thought was that he was going to be a senior and have one season of eligibility left. Now it's looking like he could get a season back which would keep him as a redshirt junior with two years left in Lubbock. We will see.

In some not great news, and I mentioned this in another thread, but we have reason to believe Minor could be considering Houston as a signing day flip. Houston has offered his brother Darryl Jr and the two could be a package deal. Nothing final here but don't be surprised if anything happens here these next few days.
