The GOP DID NOT adopt a party platform this year, and instead pledged their enthusiastic support of Donald Trump. This is one of the most asinine things I've ever seen, and essentially says Trump is an infallible god-like king.
Last week Frank Luntz was asked what the party now stands for and he painfully struggled for an answer, before finally saying he didn't know.
The party has devolved into a cult of personality centered around Donald Trump. The party tolerates Russia and accepts them interfering in our elections. Trump got them to abandon fiscal conservatism (spending and deficits sky rocketed long before the covid pandemic). They allowed Russia to target troops. They abandoned free trade. They abandoned basically every governing position they possessed.
So tell me. Aside from "owning libs' and literally never disagreeing with Trump, what does the GOP stand for? What is their governing vision to improve the country and it's people?
By the way, restricting abortion and cutting taxes are not actually governing positions.
